  • Thursday, January 5, 2012   Advanced notice of Coal Authority service delays

    Due to an internal system upgrade, Coal Authority will not be processing any new searches between 5pm on 10th January - midnight 15th January.

    Coal Authority will process any searches submitted up to 5pm on 10th January within their usual turnaround time. Any searches submitted after 5pm on 10th January will not be processed until 15th January.

    Coal Authority have advised that these dates are provisional and may change.

  • Wednesday, December 14, 2011   Notification of fee increases, effective from January 16th 2012

    Providing the best possible value and service to our customers has always been our priority. For the past three years we have managed to absorb many of our increased costs and not forwarded these on to you. As a result, our prices have been maintained or subject to only minor increases. Unfortunately this year, due to the rising cost of inflation which affects all of our operating costs, we have had to make the difficult decision to raise our fees. We are giving our customers 30 days notice of these changes to allow you to plan for these adjustments. A summary of the main fee increases are listed below.

    Residential fees

    • Local Authority Search (CON29 only) will increase by £0.45
    • Official Drainage & Water will increase by £0.20
    • Coal & Brine (CON29M) will increase by £0.38

    Commercial fees

    • Official Local Authority Search (CON29 only) will increase by £1.46
    • Official Drainage & Water searches will increase by £0.40p
    • Coal & Brine (CON29M) will increase by £0.90

    General fee increases

    • Land Registry searches will increase by up to £0.06
    • Chancel Repairs Full Search will increase by £0.45
    • Plan Upload fee will increase by £0.75
    • Mapping fee will increase by £0.45

    Other search fees will increase between £0.35-£0.91.

    In addition to our service charges we are aware that at the start of the year some of our data provider charges may also increase. We have no control over these and we will adjust the data provider fees accordingly as we are notified.

    Your custom and loyalty is extremely important to us and we remain committed to providing the best possible value for money. We are also planning some exciting new developments on our website and we look forward to sharing these with you next year.

  • Wednesday, November 30, 2011   Delays with Tower Hamlets & Hackney LA searches

    Tower Hamlets and Hackney Local Authority are currently experiencing staff shortages.

    Tower Hamlets are currently taking 20 days and Hackney are taking 25 days to complete all searches.

    They will not be able to fulfill expedited search requests; however the expedited search option will still be displayed when selecting your required searches.

    Any expedited searches will be subject to the non-expedited search turnaround time and fees adjusted

  • Wednesday, November 16, 2011   New Energy Performance Certificate

    The new Energy Performance Certificate- National is now available to order.

    The search from Gateway Surveyors will cover all bedroom sizes for £60 plus VAT. There is no SearchFlow fee on this product.

    3, 4 and 5 bedroom options will no longer be available to order.

    The search can be found in the Energy Performance section.

  • Friday, November 4, 2011   Change to the display of the SearchFlow and HUB fees on the SearchFlow website

    Following customer feedback, we have made a change to the way we display our search fees on the website to make this clearer and simpler for you. We are rolling up the SearchFlow and HUB fees in to one combined fee. The new fee will be known as Service Fee and will be displayed on the pricing sections of the website.

    Please note the existing SearchFlow and HUB fees are not changing and the Service Fee will simply reflect the current prices combined in to one.
